Early Morning At Hua Hin Beach, Thailand

Early Morning At Hua Hin Beach, Thailand

Hua Hin is perhaps the oldest, yet one of the most favorite beach resort destination in Thailand. While beaches at Phuket and Koh Samui have been discovered relatively recently, Hua Hin Beaches have been the hunting ground for the rich and the famous for over 70 years.

I made my first, and my only trip so far, to Hua Hin in 2011 with a couple of colleagues and was instantly mesmerized with the laid back, quaint surroundings and a spectacular beach. The moment I got in, the first thing I did was to check the sunrise time and I made up my mind to explore the treasures of the beach in the golden hour.

The next day, I woke up at 5 AM in the morning and took a walk along the Hua Hin Beach. The weather was cloudy and the sun was beginning to show its face upon the horizon, casting a golden glow on things all around – the sand, the skies, the clouds and the buildings.

This is the first in the series of shots that I took that morning along the beach. To the normal eye, the surroundings were still dark, with a dash of orange, but the camera did a great job of capturing more detail than is visible to the human eye. This photo is a great example of using rule of thirds – notice how 2/3rd of the top area is dedicated to the clouds and the bottom 1/3rd is the sea and the sand. Another example of rule of thirds – notice how the left 1/3rd has a building in it and the remaining 2/3rd is dedicated to the natural beauty of the Hua Hin beach.
