This is a common ice-breaker game in North Indian weddings. When the bride comes to the groom’s house after the wedding, each member of the family takes turn to pick up a handful of rice and then opens up the palms to let the rice drop. As the rice drops, the bride is supposed to catch as much of it as possible and start the cycle again.
